Arizona Career Pathways

Arizona Career Pathways is a nonprofit workforce training initiative of Valley Interfaith Project that partners with Maricopa Community Colleges to provide one-on-one support services to hundreds of low-income students every year. We help them earn a community college degree or credential in high-demand career fields and then connect them with companies looking to hire.

Ebony House

Since its inception in 1973, Ebony House, Inc. has provided effective quality behavioral health programming in the community. It is the only residential substance treatment facility in Phoenix, Arizona – that consistently targets African Americans. The organization was founded by a recovering alcoholic, Elbertzena Fontenot. She saw a need in the Phoenix black community for a treatment facility that would address alcoholism. Since its beginnings, Ebony House has evolved to treat individuals of all ethnicities with substance abuse or behavioral health issues.

Foothills Food Bank

To provide food, referral information and financial assistance to individuals and families in need within our service area.

Hunger is the problem. Together we are the solution.

Foothills Food Bank has been working to end food poverty for more than 30 years. We are focused on helping community members overcome their circumstances by providing immediate support through food and supplies and by aiding them in reaching a goal of independence and a return to self-sufficiency.

Helping Hands For Freedom

The mission of Helping Hands for Freedom is one of supporting military families dealing with death, deployment and loss. The organization assists Gold Star families, which are those surviving family members of a fallen soldier, along with veterans who suffer from PTSD. In addition, Helping Hands for Freedom offers various programs to the children of military personnel, as well as helping with emergency assistance to military families.

Cancer Support Community Arizona

Cancer Support Community Arizona provides support, compassion, access to care, and community at no cost to cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and their loved ones.

In March of 1999, Cancer Support Community Arizona (CSCAZ) opened its doors to cancer patients and their loved ones. At the heart of our mission is the belief that a nurturing environment plays a crucial role in the healing and support process. Cancer Support Community Arizona is that place.

Children’s Cancer Network

Children’s Cancer Network supports children and families throughout their cancer journey with programs and services designed to provide financial assistance, promote education, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create an awareness of issues they face related to childhood cancer.

Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization

ACSTO exists to make Christian Education affordable for everyone through effective implementation of the Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit law. Since 1998, ACSTO has transformed dollar-for-dollar tax credit donations made by Arizona taxpayers into valuable tuition scholarships—giving thousands of children the opportunity to attend Christian Schools in our state.

Masters of Coin

Masters of Coin was started to bring together the many volunteers who have helped make the SCC VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program such a success and expand the reach to help people become better citizens through financial education.

Family Promise of Greater Phoenix

They provide the resources, time, and love for families to stabilize after becoming homeless. It is a scary and traumatic time for them. They calm their fears and give them reasons to hope. Their Emergency Shelter Program provides shelter, food, and compassion through staff and a loving community of volunteers. They see it as a holistic solution to end family homelessness.

OCJ Kids

Every foster and at-risk kid deserves to feel safe, secure, and loved. Every child dreams of a healthy family foundation. They Hope for others to see them with purpose. At OCJ Kids, theri mission is to provide opportunity, create community, and fight for justice for foster and at-risk kids.

MPWORD

MPOWRD is a peer-led support program designed to empower teens through leadership and prevention. It provides a platform for teens to share their experiences and support each other in a structured environment, fostering personal growth and community engagement. The mission of MPOWRD is to empower all youth to believe in, to focus upon, and to commit to positive personal success through the MPOWRD leadership and prevention program.

Paz de Cristo

At Paz de Cristo, they help people struggling with hunger, poverty and homelessness in the Phoenix East Valley. It all starts with a nutritious meal, a hot shower and clean clothes. Basic needs for food, water, hygiene and clothing are met first. Then one-on-one coaching and assistance help people get jobs, become independent and achieve self-sufficiency. They give people a hand so that they can get back on their feet. They Feed, Clothe and Empower.
